TO EVERYONE CONCERNED
Greetings,
We're sure some of you
have heard of the saying "the best laid plans" etc., etc. Well, our
best laid plans to be on the road to a final retirement have fallen by the
wayside. We tried our best to make a go of it, but there are / were too many
issues stacked against us at the location of our current employment. Hence, we
have tendered our "request for termination of employment", and will
be leaving here.
We will no longer
remain in Rhode Island, and with that decision, plan to re-establish the
Equissage NE / NY, Equine Sports Massage Certification program elsewhere. Our
planned first class is scheduled for the week of November 27th through December
1st. That will be followed by the next class, slated to be held the week of
December 11th through the 15th. We will limit these classes to four students,
on a first come first served basis. A 2024 schedule will be out shortly.
Our new venue for the
Certification course will be at "Ray of Light", Equine and Donkey
rescue, located at 232 Town Street, in East Haddam, CT 06423.
To secure a seat in
either of our two new classes, go to our website at the address below and print
a copy of our downloadable application form. Don't mail it to the
address in Sterling, CT if it is still on the form (it will be corrected soon),
but mail it either to the address at the end of this e-mail, PO Box 26,
Adamsville, or to the address for Ray of Light, found in the paragraph,
above.
We sincerely apologize
for any inconvenience our little foray may have caused for you.

Weekend Options
Since beginning the Equissage- NE / NY program here in the Northeast, we have had requests from single working parents, home schooling parents, and individuals holding full and part time jobs at the same time, about attend our program on weekends.
Being a five day program, we thought it feasible to split the curriculum into a three day session on one weekend followed by the remaining two days on the following weekend. Our first attempt at this slightly modified program was in November, 2008. We feel it went over well enough to continue offering one “Weekender” per month.
For those interested in this offering, please check the calendar page of our website for “Weekender” schedules and / or changes. Look for the Weekender designated by the capital W. They will always be scheduled on a Fri-Sat & Sun, followed by the very next weekend on Sat & Sun.
Because our course application form does not have a “Weekender” choice, please be sure to write in the word “Weekender” when selecting your attendance date.
